Last updated: 2026.06.21
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on digitalog.ai. It forms part of our Privacy Policy and is aligned with GDPR/UK GDPR Art. 5, the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), the UK PECR, Korean PIPA, and U.S. CCPA/CPRA.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a site. Cookies remember preferences (such as language) or collect anonymous usage analytics. In this Policy, 'cookie' includes similar technologies such as LocalStorage, SessionStorage, IndexedDB, web beacons, and pixels.
2. How Digitalog uses cookies
We use the minimum cookies needed to operate the Site. – No tracking, advertising, or marketing cookies – No analytics cookies (Plausible Analytics aggregates anonymously without cookies) – One strictly necessary cookie for language preference If we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will obtain prior consent and they will remain inactive until you opt in.
3. Cookie categories
Following the GDPR/UK GDPR guidance, cookies fall into four categories: (1) Strictly Necessary — required for basic operation; cannot be disabled (2) Functional — preferences, draft forms, etc. (3) Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (4) Marketing — ad measurement and targeting Only (1) is currently active on this Site. The others would only be added with explicit opt-in.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
We set a single strictly necessary cookie: – Name: NEXT_LOCALE – Purpose: remember your chosen language – Retention: 12 months – Set by: Digitalog directly – Data: language code only (e.g. ko, en, ja). No personal identifier. Disabling this cookie does not break the Site, but you will need to choose a language at each visit.
5. Functional cookies
We do not currently use functional cookies. If we add functionality such as draft-saving in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain consent.
6. Analytics cookies
We do not use analytics cookies. Site analytics are provided by Plausible Analytics (EU-hosted), which stores no IP and uses no cookies. Plausible Analytics is GDPR-, CCPA-, and PECR-compliant.
7. Marketing cookies
We do not use marketing, advertising, retargeting, or behavioural cookies. We do not install Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar external ad-tracking tools on this Site.
8. Third-party cookies and embedded content
We do not install third-party tracking cookies on the Site. However, certain operational services may use security tokens (separate from cookies): – Vercel CDN: security tokens (expire at session end, not used for tracking) – Embedded media (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.): their own cookie policies apply when you interact with them
9. Managing cookies
You can manage cookies via: (1) Browser settings — block or delete cookies (2) Site footer 'Cookie settings' — toggle categories on/off (relevant once optional categories are introduced) (3) 'Do Not Track' signal — Digitalog respects DNT by default Blocking strictly necessary cookies may reduce some features but the Site remains usable.
